Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

I like that way better than the old milk crate...still room behind the cans to put a bag or whatever

Yeah that was the idea.

Ammo box in the front is rather nice a little taller and a lot skinnier then the stock one. Plus its metal so things can be attached to it very easily.

Got the shifter mount in shifter is just sitting on it. That is Thursday project.

It is a Mega shifter should so alright, its not an Art Carr but plan is to modify it so it can get to reverse with out pulling the T handle.

Going to get it in first and see how it does.

When I get it in, going to put in a switch for the reverse lights and one for the neutral safety switch too.

Going to get better pictures on Thursday but you get the idea.

Not sure, don't have a speedometer in my gauge collection but have a GPS for one. So in theory I could just get rid of it.

Have to figure out what to put there though as far as bars and or a flat plate.

My next dash will be a title different than what I did before. Would like to cover the gauges a bit. Still gonna be really simple

Yeah not quite sure what I am doing was looking into moving the steering column to the right a bit. So if I move he seat to the right a bit it will still be lined up. Not much, like 2 inches or so, not sure it would be worth doing but will see.

I may end up taking a bunch of it out soon. Need to mount the computer for the MPFI and the fan controller, controller. Would like to get some sort of storage box in for the passenger seat also.

Radio does not work any more it got wet so don't need that space so may be doing some cutting.

Want to do a half windshield of sorts to get the air to flow over my head. Was messing around while driving in Moab, and just something about the height of the tach would work great.

Got the shifter done and it works. Rather painless, went pretty good.

Debating on modifying the cover so it fits over the bottom like I want it to but not sure yet.

cut the leg off a pair of desert camo fatigue pants and cover the shifter with it. you gonna leave the column shifter in a anti theft device ?

That is a thought.

I had not yet removed the arm on the column.

I did end up putting the plate with the indicator on to hold the boot but I could do the pant leg idea also.

So went to Smith & Edwards to look at some camo pants. As well as ammo boxes. $20 for a used set of pants so thats not going to happen.

Eric came down to pick up the doors, after we made a trip to Tom Woods.

I was whining about how much the ammo can was that I needed to buy, $40.

So he bought it for me cuz I don't have any money for some thing like that.

Anyway got it in, kind of makes the third row seat like a throne.

Put in two 30 cal ammo cans also. Probably going to put two more on the other side of the truck.

and I changed out the seat to the un melted one I had

:D 40 bucks for doors not too shabby. If I just could have talked you out of the dash:haha:

Maybe check out the local secondhand stores for the camo pants.
