i will look today for some in the LAB™, chance I have a couple old sockets laying around.. pro comps are pretty much all I've ever run... when ya get a chance, measure the hole...
The hole is around 1/2 inch measured with a tape measure.
Called Autometer they not longer make the ones that fit..........so unless I can find a used set I am SOL
Guess I will look into fabbing my own set up or something.

They are really shallow also so not sure how I will make that work.
I have a couple of those gauges kicking around, question is whether they have sockets... let me go look in the warehouse...

Could you rig up an led setup? I mean if you could stuff a single led in there and adhere it in place on the back of the housing, it should stay in place.

Get some sugru, it will hold the led in just fine.
Thought about some LED's may end up going that route anyway.
However did some brain melting and I vaguely remember how the old ones fit. Basically the rubber grommet held the bulb. The socket had the wires in it both of them.
So went out to my close parts yard, aka my trailer in my back yard. Pulled out a set of gauges that I bought from M.A.P.I., Paul you may remember them, they are still in the box and the box is very faded from being carried around for about 30 yrs. Pulled the light bulbs out of them and they fit in the hole. The sockets from a set of auto gauge gauges that I had work on the bulbs so wala I have lighted gauges.
Didn't take any pictures however.

Those incandescent bulbs might melt the grommet.
They are in past the bulb basically on the base so should be ok.
So a bit of a gauge update.
Got a hold of AutoMeter in the midst of this. Told them what was up what I had etc. They said ok we have this and we will send it to you. Said ok cool.
Stuff got here and no go, so back to the original fix.
That being said now have five new lights for my other 12 gauges
three they sent me and two I bought.

So had the day off was soposto be going up to Seattle for a wedding but rather short on funds so no go.
Spent a bit of time working on the truck
added the air fuel mixture gauge
Ended up having to grind the bung shorter wasn't reading the mixture in the exhaust was saying it was basically clean air.
Did a bit of tuning and need to do a bunch more but it seems to run a bit better already.

Got bored and............
redid my front diff cover it was leaking, so new gasket and a few pieces of steel to make it a bit stronger.
Going to save my $$ and buy a new one already built though.

So my fuel pump is being rather loud.
It is external but seems to be being louder lately.
Kind of torn what to do. Know the return line is smaller then Edelbrock recommends. It seems to work fine other then being rather loud.
Should I get another one
Should I put in the correct size return, does a 1/4 inch make that big of a deal.
or just ignore it until it stops working, then worry about it.
