If it were me, and I know I'm a softy, I would put the window nets in for the kid. I like to make it so they enjoy participating.
Yeah and it makes it harder for them to escape when they are getting lippy. Hehe

Went with a V instead of a X. The coping on the X was not happening.

that top horizontal bar in the back seat needs to go. anyone over 10 is gonna get real sick of climbing over that.
All three said they dont care. They climbed over the doors when I had them.

While I agree, I've been climbing over that same type of bar for 14 years this October. Some days I hate it, but everyday I like the security it provides. Since this is a 90% kid area, and I think Keith has adult kids that might start spawning their own here some year I say it's all good.
Put simply, a solidly built cage is gonna have bars in the way of easy ingress egress. As stuff goes, especially considering the slider they can stand on, that bar is super easy to get over.

I like the idea of the bar at the top meets windshield bend, but take it down to the corner where the A pillar meets the slider. Then another bar from the first bend of the A pillar above the slider straight across to simulate the wing window look. Then another below that one at an angle to the diagonal bar then add another bar from the diagonal down to the slider where ever you like. Then I would put a low bar coming from the B pillar along side the seat bottom where you like with a 90 degree rounded bend down to the slider. Then add a diagonal bar from that bend back to the B pillar. Add to that the horizontal low bar you have above the slider. Ok I will shut up for now.
The wing window verticalish bar will get moved to where ever the lower windshield bar get placed. I would imagine that the top of the wing window bar will go to where ever the top windshield bar goes also. As well as meeting with the roof V bars. I like the simplicity of the not to awful busy front as it looks right now, but yet the structural support it looks like it would serve. Want to keep it that way, goal was to cut down on the weight, as well as make it safer.
I also dont want to acting like a pretzel to get into and out of it.
Have even considered a fold down step of sorts to help me climb into, the slider is a bunch higher then the floor was. So it is a stretch for me to get in. Don't want to build something that in five years I wont be able to get into.

We already talked about a step. Gonna be easier with a cage.
Oh I also made sure they make orange grip tape for your flip up stairs
So finished the other side. Got the roof done too, gonna run out of tube maybe depending on what happens to the A pillars. I have about 35 ft left with a windshield bar already built.
