Here are some random shots I took the other day, I promised me ole mate "SweetK30" I'd take some shots of the RHD vehicles I own, I will take more and better pics as time goes on, I have 4 blazers, a 1973, 1981, 1985, and a 1988, been workin on them off and on for years, but got a bit more serious about it lately, and hope to have the 88 on the road soon, I bought it to part out for the others, but I really like the front clip on this model and after having a good look at the rust I decided to just patch it up and drive it, it's had a fully rebuilt 700 fitted and is a 6.2, in fact apart from my lawn mower all my vehicles are diesel hahaha, funny that, anyway if any of ya want to see specific things on a RHD vehicle, let me know and I'll tray and get a pic of it for ya, the pics aint too good as the sun was out.

With the 88, I had to replace the rear diff carrier as some numb nuts decided to weld the spiders to the housing after it broke, major PIA to get to bits I also rebuilt all the brakes, including M/cyl, callipers, and new rear w/cyls, new pads and shoes, new Proportioning valve, fitted new shocks all round, 2nd hand speedo thanks to me ole mate Rene, 4 new tires, it will be my daily driver

This is the 88 I'm finishin the rust etc

Very cool pics :waytogo:, thanks for sharing

Are K5's pretty common there ?

Very nice work on the 88, the tail pan section you did came out great !

I have to say one of the coolest moments of my visit to Christchurch back in '01 was standing on a street corner looking at all the cool vehicles we didn't get here...

...and along rumbles a 89-91 K5 diesel that was RHD. I was so "COOOOOOOL" I didn't get out the camera.

I'd be mixin-n-matching 3 blazers down into one that has all the cool stuff. Just my $00.02

if it were mine...
6.5 TD, 700r4, 205, 9 inch axles, into the 85 tub and chassis. I think it would make a great combination.

Eh, American cars are a rarity over there. Nice to see someone preserving them.

Funny you should say that man, the 85 is the best of the lot, but I have invested too much time and parts at this stage to redo it, maybe one day, at least I have all the bits aye!!
