Blazer's Tow rigs

Truck was back as far as it could go. If it was where I put it with all the other tow truck the rear squatted way to much.

We basically put it where the burb was level. Seemed to ride fine when going over bumps and stuff. Trailer just wanted to pass when you went faster then 65 and downhill.
 
I have firestones on my burb but we don't tow much over 6-7k... it does like tongue weight though, mines also 2wd.

Did you try telling it to STOP?
 
Trailer wagging the dog is too little tongue weight in my experience. Honestly I don't and haven't ever worried about what the tow rig squat looked like when loading, I go off of how much tongue weight it looks like it has. Like I said, my truck loves tongue weight and settles down with more weight on it.

If the spring rate on the tow vehicle isn't enough to support the load you end up on the bump stops etc. This is where air bags will help and allow enough tongue weight to make things steady.
 
yup, lack of tongue weight. Squat the suburban and I bet it goes straight.
 
Would plumbing the air bags seperatly work as a sway bar? They wouldn't transfer air from one side to the other. I've always been told that.
 
I passed you guys on the way home from BB, things didn't look too bad.
 
Gotcha, thought maybe the issues were related to being a 1500. Wouldn't expect these from a 2500
 
So a bit of a update on the Tow Burb. Have run a whole lot of fuel through it. Has a bit of a miss sort of not light can just hear it. Used about a half or quart of oil since Moab.

Going to order a set of air bags in a few minutes.

Other then that and a few weird electrical issues, sun roof works then doesn't, radio volume turns off for now reason. Everything has been going good with it.
