Blazer's Tow rigs

Thought that I would post a bit of an update cuz I did some work to it. Some of you may have seen the parts burb I got from my neighbor for free. Only reason I got it was to put the front seats in. So I put the drivers seat in fits fine my head not longer hits the headliner. Maybe will do the passenger some time this week I do have tons of free time it is just rally cold so not to much enthusiasm.

Eric's the only who ever rides over there whose head hits the roof too.

The seats that were in it when I got it are maybe from a truck. The have heaters and lumbar and rear tilt power. The stock ones just have bottom power and lumbar. The factory ones sit about four inches lower, not sure if the size is in the brackets or in the seats more then likely the seats. The leather in them is shot anyway so I had cover on them the covers will be going back on them to keep the whole interior tan.

So the passenger seat is in. Also go the mirror on to.
Only big thing left to do sort of big is fix the exhaust so it exits the body all the way. Its on the list but not really a soon to do project.

So a bit of a update on the Tow Burb. Have run a whole lot of fuel through it. Has a bit of a miss sort of not light can just hear it. Used about a half or quart of oil since Moab.

Going to order a set of air bags in a few minutes.

Other then that and a few weird electrical issues, sun roof works then doesn't, radio volume turns off for now reason. Everything has been going good with it.
Didn't realize you made a thread for your tow rigs, forgot about all the problems you had with that Ford...

As for the radio, the factory amp (located under the dash behind the radio) tends to go bad. They are a royal pita to replace, but they're not expensive.

The issue comes with no reason and then it fixes it self for no reason as well. Think one day it will just get a new radio.

The amp is seperate from the radio so a new headunit wont fix your problem. A connection inside the amp fails and the amp becomes erratic.

So not really an update or anything....

Been thinking about building another rig. Thinking about building this, maybe.
Want something that I can wheel, in the rain, and not get wet, wheel in the snow and not get cold. Thinking about 37's on one tons with lockers. With a bit of flex and tons of drive ability. As well as tons of capability.

May not be this rig but may be this rig.

Kind of just thinking right now, thought I would put it in this build.

Did some work in this today. Was planning on doing it next week but worked out that I had some time today.

A/C is not working threw a charge on it and found the leak....yeah not going to have A/C. It is in the rear line where it connects to the condenser line just below the floor on the out side. Put some sealant in it as well as dye and it still leaks. May just be the o-ring, but the line is to tight and it is to close to the condenser. Don't really want to pull the whole rear A/C unit if the line breaks.

Separate note, since I have owned it, it has had a heat issue as in tons of heat blowing on you from under the dash. Could not ever find it could feel it but not where it was coming from. May have found it by chance today. Had the hood open and was going to push the pedal in and saw light on the floor under the dash, was like hmmm. Turn out the boot that seals the steering column was off. So pushed it back through the fire wall and got it to seal. So we will see it has been a bother since I have owned.
