Blazer's Tow rigs

Well at least it's the same generation truck so we're still on track :pimp:.
Scott, I might have your truck, 98 crew cab l29 4l80 srw and it's 2wd, I know you like doi g 2wd to 4wd conversions.:waytogo::whistle:
That's pretty much it, except I think I want an extended cab. Part of the reason for a 5 to 6 year time frame for me is the kids will be all growed up so I only need a back seat for the dog. I also want a short bed. I'm just gonna use ORD's SAS kit so 2wd or 4wd works. Let someone else figure out the brackets this time around. :D
I do the same thing. It's a little bit of torture but I also think it gives you a better idea of the market when you are ready to buy. Also might catch a good deal.

I like that white dually, that's a sweet truck:pimp:

But if you're looking for an early 2000's Duramax, I have one I'll sell ya:whistle:

yes you would, and I can't afford it or afford to put injectors in it. It would work for what I want though.

Was the 502 ever offered in a pickup truck as a factory engine? I can't remembered where or what we were talking about but someone tried telling me once they had a truck that had the 502 in it. Sorry for the derail also.
They put it in some box vans from the factory.

I don't understand why they would sell a truck like that unless they are having trouble with it.
Or if they are like me and just get bored with a truck and want to move on to the next. I could seriously buy, build, drive and sell trucks over and over if I had the money.

I recall working on some topkick/kodiak type trucks that had Tonowanda 502 right on the valve covers.
I know that was out of the Tonowanda engine plant, but not sure if that’s where the GM crate motors came from.

So got a new tow rig, so the burb is almost off duty as a tow rig. One rig left to tow.

Side note it was running like crap down to Blazer Bash. Fixed everything that I thought it could be and got nothing. So I bit the bullet took it to a shop. They did a diag on it and stuff. Compression good, other stuff good, except the #3 plug wire. Was cracked and not working well. They were the new ones that I recently put on so wasn't even thinking them to be a problem. But it runs great now no issues.

Also my rear defrost only one side has ever worked. Did a bit of cleaning up on the sensor connections where it goes through the door seal area and wala both sides work now.
Found out why my battery was dead the other day to. It has heated and cooled cup holders, one was left on. Which had killed the battery. So turned that off no more battery issues.

Bought this from my Sister in Law

It had a 6.7 in it that was fully deleted. The county I live in has diesel emissions. tired a bunch of different routes to get around it, no luck. So I put it up for sale. 27 days later got a text guy ended up buying it.

So bought another one today 06, 5.9 which basically has no emissions from the factory except a cat. Has some rust under the fender flares in the back. Miles are about the same 180,000. Has a few minor other issues nothing to big of a deal. Is still all stock except for a Air Raid filter box.

Future plans a bath and a good polish. Came with another tailgate so put that on, fix the rust. Drive it.

So much easier to find a parking spot then the long bed Mega Cab, it was huge and long as crap.
