What Collector Gasket's are ya'll using? I've fought my last round with the aluminum one's. I need to put the third one on the drivers side but I'm holding out for the Header Hush to come in /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. The guy I talked to on the phone who was very nice said to just use the cheapest gaskets I could find. Is this what Ya'll did? I don't want to go through trial and error changing gaskets every weekend trying to find out which one work's the best.

Thanks for the help,

James

Using 'dead soft aluminum' collector gaskets along with the Header Hush............no mo leak. Just make sure after you do the install you heat them up, then re-torque the collector bolts. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks for the info. Have you ever had one wallow out on you? I guess that's how you would describe it. It looks like you took one hole in the gasket and pulled it down and warped the gasket. Mine just did this for the second time. First time was a broken exhaust hanger but I don't know what went wrong this time. One more question, what brand are your's? I've seen the one's from Jegs I think Percy's is the name but all I could find around here were flowtech. So far I haven't been impressed /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

What is header hush? This is not a thread hijack.... I am just sick of the stupid exhaust leak and am willing to try just about anything.

It uses inter locking casted pot metal on both sides of the flanges. They basically allow you to apply more pressure over the whole flange without worping them. The best part is the guy who invented them and makes them is based out of Portland. I've talked to him before (does business with us) and is a pretty good guy.

They are $25 a peice (each side is seperate), so $50 total. header hush .

That is Baxter's price so i dont know if its the same if you order straight from Header Hush.

Sweet! Thanks guys, I thought I was gonna go insane from the constant ticking /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
