The blinkers in my Blazer quit working today, but the hazard lights all still work fine.

I tried rapidly flipping the blinker arm back and forth to see if maybe it was a short in the column or something, but it had no effect.

Where should I start looking for the problem?

THANKS!

Swap the blinker modules, the little canisters, on the fuse box -- one is for the turns and one for the hazards. If, as I suspect, the blinkers then work and the hazards don't, replace the offending canister.

Fuse, blinker module, the hazards use a different one, brake light switch, blinker switch.

What do they do?
Nothing, Stay on without blinking, Start smoking and burst into flames?

And, of course, different year blazers are wired differently, so its going to take a few pages of info to cover them all, unless you give us a clue as to the year.........

Thanks guys! The blinkers don't do anything. No blink on the dash or exterior when I turn the blinker switch either way.

Sorry about the lack of info on my truck. I thought it was in my signature. It's an 85, as close to OEM/stock as a 27 year old truck can be.

I'll flip the blinker modules around and hope for a diagnosis. Thank you!

You ran out.. :D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Blinker fluid levels check out fine. $3.91 for a new flasher and the blinkers are working again. Gotta love cheap and easy fixes! Thanks!
