I want to get a timer so i can use my block heater without running it all night. all the ones ive seen at walmart are like 15 amp'ers and what not? where do i find a timer for this power sucking block heater?

Know also that 15 amps is the limit to most outlet circuits. You can check your fusebox to see what breakers you have. It probably won't be a problem though since most use a garage circuit and for the times you are using the block heater you won't be out in the garage using power anyway.
Potential problems could be if you have a garage door opener and you try to open the door while the heater is on. Maybe a battery charger left on when the heater kicks in.
Hopefully you have more than on circuit in the garage and if you are lucky they are properly labeled.
