Dont know about block numbers but the date code is stamped on the block in the valley and on the rear of the block. It will look something like this: D284 This decodes to
D = month ( months start wit A for january).. D = April. 28= day of casting. 4 =year. 1994 if 6.5 or 1984 if it is a 6.2
