i have Warn manual hubs up front, and im going to be swapping the disc from a 6-lug to an 8-lug, so will i be taking everything apart down to the spindle? anybody gotta diagram of all the parts? is this very hard/time consuming? any tips or anything? thanks guys..

Parts from outside to in.

1. 6 allen screws

2. Cap with dial. There is an O-ring on here check it out while apart.

3. Big snap ring around the outside edge.

3.5 There may or may not be a snap ring on the end of the axle.

4. Hub body.

Removal

1. Remove the allen screws.

2. Pull the cap off.

3. If there is a snap ring on the axle remove it.

4. Put two of the allen screws into the holes in the hub mechanism 180* out from eachother. Careful not to break them. Wiggle the hub out.

The hub body may or may not come apart. It depends on the snap ring that hold them together. If they come apart it's not a big deal. It's just a gear and a spring behind it.

Open beer and enjoy. Installation is reverse of removal:wink1:

Thats just for the lockouts, you will also need to take off the snap ring, spindle lock nut off, then the lock washer, then the spindle nut. Only then will it all come off. After that just unbolt the backing plate, put the 8 lug one on, and reverse for installation.

<High jack> All you need to change from 6 lug to 8 lug is the rotors and backing plate? or calipers too? I have tried to look into this but from some reason I get confused.

Thanks Shawn

Make sure to put a towel or something down on the ground under the hub before you pull it off. You dont want those wheel bearings picking up any dirt.
