blower question

just got a 671 blower (free), planning on rebuiding my 350 and add some kick to it, just wanted to know if this blower will fit a 350 and what it might add hp wise? this is not a dd, but will drive every once and a while, any comments or suggestions are welcome.

With the proper manifold a 6-71 will fit a SBC. How much power you make with it all depends on a lot of things like making sure your heads flow well to support the extra air that the huffer packs in, what compression ratio you run with it, cam etc., etc., etc.

Does it matter if it's a 6-71?

If its real 6-71 from a Detroit diesel then you have to convert the drive end for a belt drive. What kind of shape are the rotors in? What about the wipers on the lobes? How much end play? Call BDS cuz' they got more answers then I got questions.

You could sell it ( ebay ) , maybe an old timer type wants it . Then you could get a smaller kit for the small block that fits better , and may fit under the hood .

My old neighbor years ago had an 81 Malibu with the "small" B+M kit , and he would just rip the baby 10 bolt up so bad he went 9 inch
