Anybody ever Blow up an np205 and you got pics to prove somebody told me his truck blew up a np205 and he had 500+ hp and he shattered it it was in a bunch of pieces i saw it wish i had pics. But anybody ever blown one or Exploded one?

no, but does a story about a friend of a friend of a cousin's dad who was at a mud bog heard about one being blown up once count? :D I'd love pics too

I've rebuilt one in a friends truck that snapped the front main input in two pieces. Don't have pics but I may be able to find the old shaft.

what oil does the np205 use and how many quarts?

also while am at it do auto parts sell seals , gaskets, how hard are they  to install.

I run a 454 that makes 590HP, 690 ft/lbs, and I have no problems, even running 40" Boggers. I have a spare just in case, but I haven't been able to break it yet.

The known NP205 failures are the front output shaft (if not Ford 32sp) and the bearing retainers at the output shafts. You can find billet replacement retainers on Pirate.

The reason some of the retainers are failing, is the driveshaft is over extending, trying to bring the bearing with it, which is pinned onto the output shaft between the yoke. The bearing pushes on the center of the retainer, the retainers bolts try to hold the retainer back, and the reatiner fails due to thin cast aluminum construction. I'm yet to see this occur in a non-modfied vehicle.
