Is there any website where I can find out more about the engine specs of this car?



It has an imprint of 12555506 G279 on the block.

It's got a 6.5L. @ZooMad75 do you have any insight on a Bluebird bus on a gm chassis I'm guessing?

By the vin it looks like it is not actually a GM unit. It’s a 2001 P32 Workhorse chassis.

Gm dropped p30 chassis production mid year 1998, Workhorse took over in full by 1999. So by the 2001 model year there isn’t any way the chassis could have been built by gm.

That being said the confusion between gm/workhorse was pretty easy to run into with workhorse using gm drivetrains.


Workhorse did use 6.5L diesels in commercial applications. Most were normally aspirated (non-turbo) units though. They also did sell chassis’s to school bus body builders, though they were on a much smaller scale than most of the production going to rv or step van body builders.
