I don't wheel my rig enough to justify having a full stero, wakeboard speakers, amp, ect. I have been wheeling for years without music but I'd like to have some background music. I was thinking of getting a iPod speaker and using it while on the trail, and I can use it for other things (camping, beach, ect). Are any of you guys doing this? If so what speaker and how is it attached in your rig?

I have a Beats speaker that I use out at the pool, I am blown away by the sound and bass response from this little thing in an outdoor environment.

Somebody had a thread on the exact same topic a few weeks back. Bunch of reviews in it.

Thanks for the links guys. Mostly pointed towards the JBL charge which is not waterproof which is a must for me.

It needs to be waterproof, can be charged on 12v, buletooth and can be heard while crawling. Its also somehow has to be able to be staped down to my cage.

I don't have any experience with the waterproof stuff besides seeing a float-able unit for the pool at a show :D

Just throw a cheap head unit in and some speakers in the dash or on the doors. It would be a lot cheaper than many of those rechargeable speakers. You wouldn't have to worry about it getting bounced loose. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about recharging it on a long weekend trip. Most of those speaker pods are only good for 6-8 hours of play.

A head unit like this for $35. It has a MP3 controller w/ usb input so you can put all your music on a compact thumb drive= no commercials, no paying for sirius, and you don't have to waste your phone's battery.

and a cheap set of all weather proof speakers for $40.

Total system is less than half the price of a decent rechargeable speaker pod.

Lol I guess you haven't seen my rig, no doors or dash. I will buy nothing that will be a permanent unit for the rig. I want something I can take different places with me as stated in the original post.

Update- after extensive research my results let me to here. http://www.rzrforums.net/general-rz...less-bluetooth-speaker-loud-enough-rzr-3.html

A razor forum, why didnt I think of that before? After looking at the options on that thread and looking at youtube vids, I decided to go with the skullcandy air raid.

Its water proof, drop proof, dust proof and It can be charged with a usb powered outlet (12v). I looked around and found a used deal on amazon I couldnt pass up. I will post up results after it comes in.

Kid at work has that out on the floor

It kicks ass. Battery lasts all day.

Oh and its loud as hell IMO, and has great sound/bass. :waytogo:

The Rzr guys were talking about running 45-50 in the desert and still hearing there music. I figure if they can do that I should have no issues on the trail

Its stupid loud for its size IMO. I want one. Just everytime I have that amount of cash laying around, I end up buying performance parts instead of fun parts :haha:

From what I read there are some radio shacks closing down marking these down 80 percent, so wholesalers are buying them and reselling them and making 20 bucks. Fine with me because the RS's around here are not closing.
