SO!
I haven't been working on my truck in a while... And I also haven't been on here in a while... But that doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about my truck.
I had to take my truck off the road becaus my insurance was waaaayyy to high. And I tried selling it, but was only offered crappy cars, or crappy money. So in the end it has been a lawn ornament for the last year... Wow a year. That hurts.
So anyways. I bought a 91 BMW 318is. Fun car. 4 banger, standard, rear wheel drive. Just as $h!tty in the snow as my truck is, hahaha. But the car is gonna die soon. Many different problems with it, and I'll need a new DD soon.
Now the car has alot of usuable parts left in it. Besides the sterio, the fronts seats are fully adjustable, high bolstering, and are in decent shape. Now parts could be swapped to the truck fairly easily, but that isn't what I've been thinking about really.
I want to swap the BMW front end onto the burb. It is narrower. I can see that. So there would be a slight taper job I'd have to address. BUt the hood pivots from the front, and I kinda like that. Also the car has quad headlights, and without the front bumper, there'd be alot of space left for clearance.
If you don't know the car in question, then you won't really know what I am talking about. But they have a really classy front end. And my 89 burb has that classic look, but the back end is a hacked peice of junk, and I'd like the whole truck to look the same.
I'll try and get some pictures together tomorrow. And I geuss some measurements aswell.
It may be too much work to make this worth while. But the back end had the same thing going for it, so what the hell, right??
