my friend wants to put a 350 tbi motor and tbi setup in his fresh water boat. he wants more even power and fuel economy. so his biggest problem is o2 sensor in exaust. this boat has water flowing threw manifolds. what is he to do?

any help or links to good info would be great. thanks.

i would assume higher up in the manifold there would be no water flowing near the exhaust ports, since water can't possibly go "that" high into it.

There are certain items in marine applications that MUST be coast guard approved. For instance, air cleaner needs to be a spark arrestor type, distributor is special, alternator and starter are also special for marine applications. He better check into all that first.

marine tbi's don't run O2's...

tons of merc tbi's out there..

cobbling some automotive app in, is a disaster waiting to happen due to safety issues Scott mentioned...
