has any one ever heard of bobbing a long bed chevy. I bought my truck with a gay flat bed and I was thinking of buying a bed and putting a bed back on it but the frame was shortened alot all the way to the shakles. Thanks for your help.

Look over on http://www.offroadfabnet.com/ There is an old thread from when they first started the site showing a long bed that was bobed.

flatbeds rock.. why would you want to get rid of it?

my buddy has a bobbed K20. he simply cut the back of the bed off, and fabricated his own tail panel. if you were good, you could cut off the back of the bed and section it out, and weld the stock tail panel back on so the back of the bed would look factory.
