body goo???

I got to the point where I can start figuring out how and what parts I need to order or figure out how to make for my body repairs. Before I do that I need to get the body goo off so I can see how the ends are attached. So here's' the question I'm wondering about, how does everybody remove the body goo? heat gun or chemical removal?

Might also consider mechanical means. I used a really stiff wire cup brush on a 4.5" grinder... makes a hell of a mess, but gets the stuff off. IIRC the proper term is "body sealer" or "seam sealer." Judging by consistency and smell I think it's similar to Liquid Nails.

I works great...... propane torch hit it for a second and it gets real brittle, then chip it all off

How do you guys handle the stuff when your going to paint? Just scuffed the surface of the sealer?
