Last year I decided to put a 3" body lift on my 72 K5. When I finished I had a problem with the "3 on the tree" shift rods not long enough and also the Clutch rod. While I was dealing with this problem I decided to go ahead and start the cancer treatment proccess. One year later and new floors, rockers, door post, fenders, etc. it is finally about to be finished! But I still haven't solved the shift linkage problem. Has anybody ever put a 3" body lift on a 1st gen with a "3 on the tree"? What did you do to solve this problem?

I'm not looking to change it to the floor just yet. I'm hoping to do that next year.

All you'd need to change would be the bolt on tranny cover.
Find a high hump cover out of a 4spd 4x4.
