on my 1975 k5 frame two of the brackets that connect the body/body mounts to the frame need to be repaired or replaced. I seen a thread about welding a large washer to the bracket to repair it but I can't seem to find that thread again. I do wonder if the added height of the washer gives trouble down the road in assembly and lining up of the body parts? My other question was do they have these brackets for sale somewhere? I looked at LMC but didn't see the ones for my application. Attached are some pictures for reference. Thank you!

This may not be the exact item you need, Wrong years but it looks to be a step in the right direction.

I'm just throwing out ideas here:
As for welding in a washer, I would weld in to the bottom not the top of the bracket, if it is on the top, then it will adjust the height of that position, but on the bottom there should be no lift.

For aligning the body, get everything mounted up and tightened down before welding the washer in, once everything tightened down bolt in that washer from the bottom, tack it in place, then unfortunately lift up the body again or if you can slide out the new bushing and finish the weld, you could finish the weld with the body all the way down, but you run the risk of melting/damaging the rubber mounts.

(Again, this is just a thought. I have not tested any of these methods...)

Why not just bring a cordless drill, 3 drill bits to step the cut, chisel and hammer to a junk yard and get two clean ones. Bolt the new ones in. I have taken most of the rivets off my Squarebodies that way with close to be ease. Just make sure you drill past the head so it will collapse.

I'm not sure why it seems like nobody produces the body mount brackets for the 73-77, sure would make life easier if they did.

I like the idea of welding from the bottom, might be even worth it to see if i can cut it out and weld it flush. Taking the body off and on would be difficult, I don't have a lift so we are moving it with man power. Once its on the frame its going to stay on the frame. I like the thoughts, see it from different angles.

When I head to the local junk yard I'm going to take a look around for some, but I'm afraid that they will be in as bad or worse shape as mine.
