Need to know if it is possible to use any other lube on my poly body mounts other than what small amount I bought from Summit when I purchased the mounts to keep the squeeking to a minimum. Can I use a bunch of white lithium grease or even bearing grease so I don't have to order more of the "proper" lube and wait several more days? Will the other lubes breakdown the poly bushings or what would you recommend regarding the lubes I have already in the garage?
Hoby

Im guessing anything with Petrolium will eat at them. Not sure what they actually use.

I bought a tube of the white bushing grease from summit. It totally eliminated my body mount squeaking. Before I was using generic chassis grease and they sqeaked like an SOB. It drove me nuts!

I believe it was. It was from Prothane I believe...

But it was very thick and very sticky stuff.

I have a can of the white lithium grease spray and it seems to coat things pretty good and stays kinda "wet" and doesn't dry too much. I just don't have much of the grease that came with the poly mounts and don't think I have time to order another bucket of the dame from summit because of time constraints. Any other thoughts on the white lithium grrease fro other members? Thanks to all for the replys.

Don't quote me on this but I don't think petrolium products break down poly bushings. I know petrolium products will break down rubber. Does it say on the package of lube you bought from summit what it is or what it contains? If it does I would head to the auto parts store of your choice and get something similar. Let us know what you use and how it works because I going to be putting my body back on the frame with poly mounts in the next month.

yes it is white lithium grease. Its not the spray kind, its just like the little tube that is supplied with the mounts, just a hell of a lot more of it. Its in the tube that can fit into a grease gun if I want it to.
