my 86 needs new body mounts and before i order them i had a couple questions.

if my motor and tranny mounts are rubber, do i need to stick with rubber or does it not effect it to have poly on the body

and if i already have a 4 inch lift, will i need to alter anything if i want to put a 1 inch body lift on?

blazer is an 86 with 350/sm465/208 set up

thanks

Urethane is more durable but typically harder. The latter can contribute to stress fractures in the body unless the tub is caged and frame reinforced.

I know when I put urethane body bushings in my GN, I could feel more road vibration. Seems like the rubber gave it a smoother ride. I was trying to stiffen it up and I guess it did that.

I am partial to OEM rubber for a road /trail truck. better ride, less vibrations and rattles.
Poly if mostly offroad.
