Went down to Uwharrie this weekend and blew 2 body mounts out. What happened was the bottom washers were a bit rusty and the bolts pulled through. Anybody know where I can get those washers that the mount sits in?

Wait...when those big washers rust off, you're supposed to replace them. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

They are like $3 each at LMC I just ordered 6 /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Hey Jeremiah what about the thing that is on top of the mount that looks like a cup that kinda goes over the rubber? Do they get rusty enough to replace, only reason I ask is I know you know rust.. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I've not replaced one yet. I use the torch and burn the old rubber out and give them 83 coats of paint /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

The bottom ones do rust into pieces though /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

So the metal is attached to the rubber? I have new poly mounts so I guess Ill have to do what you did and burn the old junk out. What about the two back pairs, should I order some stuff to be on the safe side as far as metal stuff goes? You can tell me LMC part numbers if you want.

I just pryed the bushing out of the upper part with a couple big screw drivers, then the chuncks that where left I heated up and scraped them out.

Here a pic of the upper mount and the new bushing

you need the upper mount pad because it has an oblong hole in the middle... thats why the polys have that big hole
