just got my poly bushing for a 72 k5 and ready to install them and have a few questions.

1)Is there torque specs?

2)I'm going to get new bolts, do they need to be grade 8?

3)Whats the best way to install them, one corner at a time?

Don't know the torque spec but good and tight. Around here Anti-seize on a body bolt is mandatory.

They probably don't need to be grade 8, I don't think the factory bolts are grade 8. I'd use grade 8. It's worth the piece of mind.

I prefer to install them one side at a time. Loosen all the body bolts and use a floor jack to lift up on one side of the cab. Make sure you jack up on something that is structurally sound. Do that whole side, leaving the new bolts loose but started into the threads a good couple threads. Then switch to the other side and get them installed. After there all installed remove the jack from the equation and check for body alignment. Tighten bolts.

There are also the factory square washers/shims on top of the old. Make sure that you put them all back where they came from, IF all of your gaps (Doors, Fenders) are good before you start.

the stores around here only carry 307a carriage bolts. is that even close to strong enough?

I wouldn't use carriage bolts. They are a grade 2 or at least that is all I have ever seen.

I'm about to replace mine too...I would consider urethane if there was a kit that included all the bolts...but I haven't found one...

Torque specs...got to be a chart somewhere, but the rule of thumb that I have seen is tighten them until you see the bushings slightly bulge.

This is a chart for a 1974 K5...I'm not sure what all those numbers are for:
