hey guys, i need some input:1zhelp:, I'm designing myself a rotisserie that has a connector tube from 1 end to the other that i can swap out w/ a short connector to mount up a truck cab or put a longer connector in it to mount up a k5 or a car body.

i have a question tho. the 1st thing going on it will be a truck cab, and the arms will have to mount to the body mounts, and a truck cab has 2 rear and 2 front, each mount will have a supporting arm bolted to it, so what do i do when i am ready to replace the body mounts themselves w/ new metal?

do you think it could be desisgned where the rotesierie will be stable enuff to hold the cab w/ just 3 arms holding it, while i replace 1 body mount at a time? then reattach that arm and undo 1 of the others and fix it, reattach the arm and do the next 1, remount the arm and do it once more, all 4 body mounts need replacing:hack::grind:

on something short like a truck cab, that may just work.:dunno:

but, how would you work on a body mount that is bolted to the rotisserie on something w/a larger/longer body like a k5 or car body:burb:..:k5:? could i do it the same way by unbolting 1 arm at a time, but make sure when its on its side to undo 1 of the arms that is on the bottom, so that the top mounts are holding it suspended? has anyone done this, if so how did you replace the mounts that the rotiserie was bolted to?:confused::confused::ears:

no suggestions or ideas, do i need to take all the smilies out to get some thoughts on this. simple question tho, how do you work/replace a body mount when its 1 holding the body to a rotisserie?

i have a follow up ? will a blazer tub fit on a rotisserie w/out the roof bottoming out? how would one mount it on? take for instence the eastwood rotisserie. i plan on some major surgery in the future. anyone know some one whos done a rotis. resto. on a k5 tub?

let me know how that works out for yeah, id like to do the same. take some pics. you think you could do it cheaper then the eastwood one?

i haven't looked at theirs, but i'm sure i can i have the metal, so i don't have to buy that and i have a brand new 50lb box of welding rods. i'll check eastwoods out, i am planning on making mine not moveable, i going to stand i-beam up in concrete, and put a pipe on top of it then another pipe inside to spin on and make a crossbar to it w/movable arms on it to attach to the body mounts.
