I am doing a body swap on my 1979 jimmy and I was wondering what is the best way to go about it with out using a car lift to get the body off of the frame?

My question is how to lift the body off of the old frame with out taking it all the way apart

I rented a fork truck for the weekend. Myself, 3 friends and that fork truck had it swapped in 1 day. Another half day to reconnect everything. It was actually a fun project. I think the fork truck was only $100 and change.

We used the winch on my burb rigged up to the rafter in my dads barn with a snatch block and pulled both bodies off straight up /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
