I found a 79 jimmy badged as a blazer but it’s two wheel drive. Body only. I have a 84 diesel with bad motor, question is can I set the 79 body on the 84 frame with out much trbl.?????

I wouldn't think the frame changed that much.... I don't know when the tub changed at the rear seat though.... There was a change there but I'm not sure if it affected the frame at all

Yes you can swap the body. Why would you go to all the trouble of a body swap on a truck with a bad motor? These trucks are not rare, just buy a truck you actually want instead of making yourself a ton of work.

I bought the 84 4x4 with bad motor for $600 planning on changing front end to a 79, my father had one and I’m trying to copy that truck rom my youth. The 79 I found is just a 2 wheel drive body no motor no transmission. So I’m combining the two and throwing in a 350 I have to make one 79 k/5. Sounds crazy I know but I don’t have much $$ in the whole project. Thanks for answering my question also.

I built a wooden A frame out of some 4x4s and a 4x6 and used it to body swap a 72 k5. Look up my builds and it should be in there if you don't have a way to do it lined up yet... Didn't cost much to build...

Transmission hump could be an issue. At least on the pickups it is...
