With all the k5 blazers I have had and sold over the ears I thought I would remember this but I can't.

Trying to put one blazer together out of two.

Blazer one is an 80s frame, clean and painted and already has the suspension, axles and drivetrain I want to use in it. Drivetrain is a manual and 205 with new drive shafts. Frame has the steering box kit on it, nice front springs and a nice 56" swap and hangers out back. Currently runs and drives but needs lots of finish work and I'd rather put the 74 together for emissions reasons.

Blazer two is a 74 k5, has the awesome body but has no engine, and the trans is a th350 and 203, also has built 3/4 ton axles but was wanting to use those on something else, suspension is just springs. Currently it only needs an engine to run but that doesn't get the desired end result "nice ride, correct gears and the manual trans"

My initial idea is to swap pedal assemblies and the trans tunnel and just swap the 74k5 tub on the 80s frame.

Can't recall what the differences are though:dunno: I figure they would be the body mounts near the front floor and where they changed the floor for leg room after 78?

It's just a lot of swapping to put the whole axles, springs, motor, trans, case and drive lines in the 74.
