I was given a rust free bed but it was disassembled and came with no hardware. Does anyone know where to get kits of bolts that are just for that ? Or does anyone have the sizes that they should be ?

Years ago I cut the factory body bolts off on my 72 and replaced all of them. I went to Ace, and used 3/8" carriage bolts, except for the main, in the floor pan

I would think in this day and age there would be a kit available

Farm and fleet in Woodstock.
Grade 8 by the pound.

Ya either I will hit up farm and fleet or my nut and bolt supplier from work.. I figured if I could just get a kit it be easier and less going to the store lol. Plus im sure you have bought plenty from farm and fleet. Grab a couple and fulls and when ya get home find out someone tossed in a bunch of randoms :doah: Anyone know what size they are by chance ? Im guessing 3/8 maybe ?

I just did a bed floor swap on my longbed a few months ago, the bolts are 5/16 x 0.75. I would recommend using flat washers because the holes are a bit oversized so you can line up the panels. If you can find sheetmetal bolts that are pointed it would make the job easier since some of the panels are a bitch to line up and the pointed bolts are easier to start.

Here are a couple pics I just snapped of some lefter over bolts I have.

Guess I read that as body mount bolts
:rotfl:

Carry on!!

I've seen those pointed end bolts in Dorman and HELP racks, but they will be pretty costly since they aren't "bulk",they come only a few in a blister pack...
McMaster-Carr might sell the same bolts and in bulk quantity cheaper..or Fastenal...
