Looking for the size and thread pitch of the two bolts that hold down the front of the rear seat in a 87 k5 ? The po before me removed the seat installed all new carpet and never reinstalled the bolts or gave them to me. I am at work other wise id yank one out of my other k5. Thanks in advance Denny

I want to say they are 1/2-13

The older trucks -- i.e. my '74 -- indeed use 1/2 coarse, as Scott said. Length would maybe depend on carpet, but on mine, anyway, there's just a sheetmetal tab at the bottom of the hole, which will pop out if you put a long bolt in there :D

Something that late, though, might use metric, and I thought they had the flip-and-fold seats like the Burbs, no bolt down?

They are flip and fold hence why he asked for the size of the bolts that hold the FRONT of the rear seat.

Even though the truck is a later model i still believe they are 1/2-13

The rear seat is out of my 89. I just checked the seat mounting bolts for you. 1/2-13 x 1 1/2" long, grade 8.

Well, my 1990 Burb had a flip and fold and remove third seat :D No bolts, snap in on the front and latch in the back.

I figgered it was bolt down since he was askin' for bolts ... just sayin' I donno 'bout them new-fangled trucks. ("New" being anything post-1980 :haha: )
