A question. What size bolts, ie length. thread, and diameter, do i need to replace the ones currently on my truck? New kit didn't come with any and want to get some more with the poly lock nuts to put on when I start the lift tomorrow. Thanks

JIMBO

Just need the bolt sizes for the springs. Stock replacement I would guess. It is for the Rough Country 6" lift.

I'll pass since mine aren't stock anymore. Mine are now 9/16" and 5/8"

for stock fronts i think it is 7/16" for the shackle and 1/2" for the front eye 4.5" long.
rear springs are both 1/2" I believe.

I used grade 5's that were then drilled out for grease fittings.

The bolts are 9/16-18 fine thread in the rear springs in all three locations. 4 1/2" long sounds about right.

Up front the stock bolts are 9/16-18 in the front of the springs and 7/16-20 in the shackles from the factory, similar in length. The exception to this is 88-91 trucks which use 1/2" bolts in the rear of the front springs.

My factory bolts were grade 8s, not sure on others.

9/16" bolts are not a standard size so they're kind of a pain in the ass to find. I paid $3 each for mine when I got them. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif
