I've got a 86 K5 with a 700r4 and NP208. After some transfer case trouble on the trail I did some inspecting. I found that both of the bolts that secure the transfer case to its mount had fallen out. Does anyone know the size of these bolts so I can source replacements.

IIRC they are 10mm x 1.5 and about 25.4mm in length.

I haven't messed with a 208, but know it's similar to a 241. I lost some bolts on my 241. So I bought longer and put jam nuts on the back also. Haven't lost any since. Thinking you should be able to do this on a 208 too.

Correct

Thanks for the info sir! You were 100% correct the 10mm x 1.5 25mm length was perfect. Now I will explore getting a longer bolt that can pass through and be secured with a nut on the other side.

Not sure about the NP208's,but the older trucjs transfer case bolts had a sheet metal plate that went under the bolt heads, that had locking tabs you had to bend over, to prevent the bolts from unscrewing..you could make one of those , or use locktite..
I like double nutting things too,its ugly, but never fails me!..
