So while I was cleaning up my front passenger side quarter panel cutting from last fall I discovered a bit of bondo in the area where the wheel well meets the rocker box. Okay, a fist size bit of bondo. I knocked it out and cut it out so it doesn't look half bad but I'm now thinking about the future involving new fenders, welded in rock sliders instead of the rockers, etc etc.

So who's put the rocker replacement weld in rock sliders on a pickup?
What did you do with the front fenders?

After I pick up my metal tomorrow I will have pictures. Look for a build thread from me tomorrow as well

Hey come on I work 8-5 and live an hour away from work give me some time. But i'm cutting up to the floor(almost boat siding) But I have to go to canada today so I'm not sure if I can actually pick up my metal.

I used 3x3 square tubing for rockers on my k10. It fit well. I cut the fenders where the bottom of the door edge matches. Then just kept trimming the backside of the fender till things fit good. The rockers I cut and welded the tubing flush with the lip on the door sill. Left the door sill intact, but took everything out below it. I just stopped at the back of the cab. Figured I could figure out something for the box later or switch to a flatbed.

That wasn't aimed at you jek, just seeing if anyone else has done it.

blake, got any pics?

sgarrison, nice truck man! Are those someone's kit or did you make them yourself?

Kinda like the steps too. My wife definitely needs something to help getting in.

(Not you jek, I know you're still limping a bit probably.)

I figured after the raping on the steel you'd be a bit sore still...
Going to cut your fenders at all?

sg, do you have any closer details of the front fender and what you did to modify that?

I will get some tonight.

Anyone have any info/pictures on that yellow shortbed 4-Wheel & Off-Road built a few years ago for the Ultimate Adventure? I remember they did the rockers like I want to but don't remember the details. I also remember they managed to fold them pretty good.
Wish I had kept those issues.:doah:
