Had no pressure when I first started it which freaked me out. Got a mechanical gauge on the engine and pressure is good. Need to replace the sensor. Wish I would have done that with the engine out since it requires taking out the distributor. Has a mild tick, hopefully its just a lifter that needs adjusting and nothing major. Most of the black wire loom was missing and cracked/flaked off from old age so had to spend a good hour replacing that.

Its just the color they are painted from factory or what color they came when I bought them. Just finding the best deal dictates the color I guess. This one happen to be gun metal with the black center factory. My 87 K5 was gun metal with a dark blue factory. Ram is a dark blue factory. My S6 is black, my 79 K5 is black. My t-bucket is black. Did I mention how much I hate black and trying to keep it clean?
Go get new cap across street at parts store and come back 15 minutes later. Go through the ENTIRE emissions process again and passes fine. They no longer check for emissions stuff. They don't seem to care it has a cat, or anything else under the hood. The guy even told me they don't look under the hood anymore for Colorado emissions. Well.. good for us I guess.
