Should the 1" puck be like this or should it be under the washer thing it is sitting on?

This installation is correct. It couldnt fit under the washer thing because of the oblong shaft that goes down through the bushings.

Thank's guys, it looks like I have three different length's of bolts for the 1" lift anyone know which locations the different length's go?

I used the bolts coming out to figure which bolts were which. The new bolts are all exactly 1" longer...

Of the ten bolts supplied there should be two of one size, then 4 of the second size and 4 of the last size. The size that there is only two of is for the rad support and get the nuts. Of the remaining bolts the 4 shorter bolts are for under the cab and floor by your feet, the longer 4 should be for the bed area.

The ones going through the bed are tack welded to the floor from the factory so you'll have to grind some...I ground those ones flat and pounded them down through the old mounts.

The ones under the cab area have the most potential to ruin your day, I had one snap off flush. I had to drill it out and re-tap the hole. Hopefully you don't have my type of luck...

Thank's, I aslo planned on just looking at the bolts that came out but in a cramped garage with cords knocking the stuff laying on the floor around and getting mixed up, you know how it goes. I have just one bolt in the rear to get out and the two front ones the others are out, the four middle ones came out pretty easy.

I will also point out that it is 20 degrees in my garage and I need the K5 to get to work tomorrow BUT football starts in about an hour and it is toasty inside - DAMN

LOL! Sounds ruff over there Steve! ;) Good luck with the body lift. I have the ORD 1" and its great. Only thing I didnt do was disconnect the tranny linkage and steering shaft before I did the install. In the process of lifting to get the pucks in, I tweaked a seal or something in my steering box, its been a leaker ever since. Other than that, the install went without a hitch. I like getting the extra inch of clearance and not having to modify 20 things to get it to work. Just adjust the tranny linkage and GO! =)

Steve...make sure to check the fan to shroud clearance, I had to trim the lower half of mine after the body lift was in. I was about to start my truck up before I noticed the fan tight against the shroud when I did the 1" body lift.

Now for the fun part, I can't get the fawken front bolts out, they are fused to the metal collar or something, any ideas? I trieded pulling the front grill to gain better access but can't get to the center grill screw without pulling the 215 pound front bumper and winch (I refuse to do that).

I had to pull my grill...once the grill is off acess to those bolts is relatively easy. FWIW I broke my grill taking it out

but my prob was with my hi-lift jack mounts being in the way. Bad engineering on my part.

I just had a better look under the front of my truck and it looks like you could remove the lower facia that the grill is attached to on the bottom...two bolts on each end at the fender, and one in the center. The one in the center may be accessible or not if you can't get the center grill scew out...

The only other option is removing the bumper/winch...or calling the Spickler Cab co. in the morning for a ride to work.

Removing the bumper is not an option, I can get a socket on the bolt head through the grill, but the bolt is fused to the body mount prolly a metal collar in the center.

Have you got the nut off on the bottom? If so can you drive the bolt upwards and hopefully break it loose? If you were successful with that can you fish the new bolt through the grill?
I understand the hesitance to remove the beast from the front of the truck...I'm just not sure there is a workable alternative.

OK, I got the grill off, I was able to remove the center support and the bottom body piece along with the grill still attached to it. Yeah, I have the nut off the front even raised the body and stuck a piece of metal under the bolt then lowered the body back down hopeing the weight would force it through, no luck.

OK...I think probably the bolt is rusted to the steel sleeve and the sleeve is frozen in the rubber mount. Try drilling the rubber mount in various places from the sides. You could also jack the body and cut the bolt with a sawzall...take it out in pieces. A grinder with a cut-off disc would work too.

Woohoo, I got it, put the torch to it again raised the body up and then put my ORD steering arm under the bolt side ways(don't ask) then lowered the body and it poped free.

gonna be a late night though. Have you pulled the shroud yet? It's a real bitch after it's lifted if you haven't done any pre-trimming.
