bottom leaf on front pack has wavy end

Sounds like what happens from an accident. See "wavy" ended front leafs all the time in the wrecking yards, when the front axle is stuffed backwards. (or the nose/frame gets bent, altering the spring mounting locations)

no, its not accident, both ends are shaped the same, its some kind of special leaf of some kind, i dont know what yet.
if youre looking from side of truck at either end of bottom front leaf the ends are wavy up and down- vertically, almost S-curve, sorta, a flat S-curve., the same amount and identical on both ends of it

thanks

Could be an old add-a-leaf??/forums/images/icons/confused.gif

Does it have aftermarket overload springs on it? I know most are curved to accomodate a clamp. Some pics would help.

i wish i had a digicam...
how many leaves would be factory on a 79 K10 ??
Ill find the SPID label and see if it lists any F codes hmmm..
it doenst look incorrect or anything, but if i decide to add leave to the front packs then id have to either add them above this leaf or simply just do away with it.

thanks

The K5's couldn't get anything but 2 or 3 leaf fronts AFAIK, (only one front spring option for the K5's) I'd assume K10's would be the same.

yeah its got two normal every day looking leaves and then this oddball looking leaf underneath them two- same deal on both sides of truck

thanks

Does it look anything like this?
