I bought a Blazer without seing it for $150. After picking it up I find that it has a 4 speed manual tranny and NP205. My buddy who is a mechanic needs a tranny for his K5 and he told me that he would do the conversion for free if I give him my 700R tranny. I always wanted a stick shift and my buddy needs a tranny so I think I am going to do this. What do you guys think about this. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

When you look at the long term reliability it's hands down to the manual! I was thinking about a 700r4 but it costs allot to make them durable. I say even though he's your friend, keep the manual. Goodluck. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The deal is that I give my buddy my 700 tranny and he wil install the manual tranny with the NP205 in my truck. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Personaly I would jump all over that deal.
