I just got my hands on a Dayton 3E228 furnace for the garage. I plan on hanging it up in the corner of my garage, but I don't know what the rules are as far as venting, etc.

Anybody know where to look for that info?

Should be basic info in the install manual assuming you did not buy this used.

Get some B-vent from a supply store, poke a hole in the ceiling and roof, keep 1" clearance to anything combustible.

yeah, I got it used, so no manual. :(

looking for code info really on the vent height, etc...

Pull the bottom or side panel and check the exchanger real good for holes. If you see cracks or holes wad it up and throw it away.

Poke the flue pipe up 24" above where you cut the hole in the roof. put a cap on it. You want one inch of clearance on all sides of double wall vent pipe, six inches around single wall pipe. That's about it.

sigh, doing a google search for the manual for this furnace brings up this thread. doh!
