maybe....

Mine just started making that sound one day, it wasn't a progressive noise that got worse over time so I'm not sure that's the problem. My first thought was a worn horn contact. Guess I'll pull the steering wheel and find out.

wheels n tires on.:waytogo: need day light shots but this will do for now

Now all of the other chrome stuff looks out of place.

actually all the little chrome rivet things in the wheels that don't show up in the pic mix decent with the other chrome. the steps gotta come off but I figure out how. they bolt on through 2 body mount bolts. The bolts come up from the bottom so I have to figure out where the nuts are under the carpet ... I guess.:dunno: I almost just plasma'd them off last night,. but I want to sell them

sweet:waytogo: ill have to see about getting them off then. I may be able to do that in my front yard with my crappy impact. my girl (4'6") isn't happy about me wanting to take them off.... but they gotta go

not washed yet but heres daylight pics

the more pics I see it appears as though the box is a different red.... Oh well. it can only be seen in the right light. these look too nice where there at:D

Ah, ok, yup, looks much better in the daylight pics now. :D

I don't think it looks all that bad with the side steps, but you do need to get some window tinting to assist with the darkening up of trim type items. :D

tint is a must:waytogo: gotta happen. im in the process of getting a paper so that I can legally have them in my state due to a severe light sensitivity. sunlight hurts my eyes even when its cloudy.

I just hate the steps and they flex a lot when I use them.

it still doesn't look like it sits as high as most Z71's :dunno:

Wow, just checked the tint laws for Iowa, as bad as California, essentially no tint is allowed.

Says nothing darker than 70% which is pretty much what the glass alone does.

That SUUUUCKS.

yep.. but a piece of paper from the eye doc gets you out of the $70 fine if you keep it in the car:waytogo: just have to actually have the light sensitivity to get the paper. most of the cops in our area don't say anything anyway as long as you have your window down immediately before you even pull over for them,,,, down pouring or not. unless you get fussy over why they pulled you over... then its your a$$

well being up at 3 am I got bored.... so I did some playin and I think the chrome side molding has to go too.... what do you think?

Yah, i agree. I bet it would be super easy to cover with plastidip or some sort of vinyl wrap material.
