I got one of those snake cameras for my phone, it was $17. If I bought another one I'd get it with focus and a swivel lens.
I shot a few images of my back left cylinder. This engine sat for ten years but it has been driven for the past few. I was worried it had rust pits in the cylinders.
Everything looks ok. I see crosshatching. The piston looks like it is covered in carbon and the brite spots are where the carbon flaked off.

Glad I saw this...I have a motor I bought in '05 I've been dragging around. I've been contemplating tearing into it to check it out. Any recommendations?

I bought a cheap one -under twenty dollars- just good enough to make me want to get a much better one. Focus and swivel would be nice,as would more than 2 pixels.
