ok i bought a ramsey 8000off a buddy whose dad runs a wrecker and the truck was in an accident and knocked to motor off the winch....i put power into the winch andwhen i jump the switch (screwdriver in remote holes) all i hear is clicking...

like i said hte motors studswere broke...all i did was put ti back together withthe magnets on the rotor or whatever its called and see what happened.

I am not familiar with that model but it sounds about right. All the motor is is a starter on my Warn. The clicking would happen if the remote is not providing an in or out signal. Just a guess though.

there is no remote...the part that it plus into...has the 3 prongs, constant power and 2 for the switch rev adn forward? i was just jumping them with a screwdriver...

i only paid 25 for it so im not to bummed about needing the motor and stuff.

As far as the motor look for a local automotive electrical shop, they can usually rebuild them for much cheaper than buying one.

Welp...i pulled the motor off the winch today and heres my problem! haha

There's gotta be an automotive electrical shop with a Romaine account that can get you the armature. go to Romaine electric on the web and you can search for a local shop. Save you some money, and it will be a local shop.
