so i got me a 84 blazer today. has 52k original miles on it, brand spanking new edelbrock intake manifold and carb, oil and trans coolers, still stock axles and all suspension so that will need to be changed. pics to come tonight. heres the plan for now
56's front (what size shackles do i need again 7.25 or so?)
56's in the rear maybe 64's but probably not. (what size shackles with 56s? 64s are 6" correct?)
crossover steering.
i am going to use the hell out of these axles then go to 3/4 ton front and 14b rear.

And so it begins.........The endless nights of shopping online and in magazines for custom parts. Endless hours and money poured into something that will never be able to be sold for the amount of money put into it. Dozens of possible busted knuckles, countless hours of custom fabriction, boat siding, custom aluminum dash build, shackle flips, cgae fab, bumper fab. Way to many beers drank during the build and way too many sleepless nights thinking of the next Hi-Performance Custom Modification you just HAVE to do.

Arguments with the wifey over spending money on, in her eyes "that piece of crap in the driveway" You will be fighting the "Time & Money" thing. You will either have all the time in the world but no money to buy what it is you need to finish up the next step,
Or,
you will have a bunch of money saved up for that locker OR DIFF diff cover you NEED, but your working soooo much damn overtime or you so obligated to family things like weekends planed by wifey you can't seem to get what you need to finish the next step in building the worlds MOST awesome offroad rig. Yeah, I know what your in for, I have been there and I live every single day of my life there. SOMEDAY, MAYBE, you might, I say MIGHT finish it. Welcome to CK5, home of the endless project thread build. :D :haha: :haha: :haha:

quoted for truth!! my last build happened just like that.

Cool, looks like it's in good shape. One question, Your in California, why did you not go for a pre-smog year so you don't have to deal with that???

iv tossed the idea around so much and most of the pre smog trucks are so trashed or have so much work to be done for what i want to pay. my 73 was in good shape but iv been that was a needle in a hay stack.
