just went out and bought some new warn premium hubs today because ever since i welded both my diffs when i drive it on the street the auto hubs like to engage now and again and i find myself having to drive in reverse every once in a while i have to unlock them and not have the truck turn like a tank. anyways on the site they say: When Replacing Automatic 3 Hole Cap Screw Hubs, You Must Purchase Corresponding Spindle Nut Conversion Kit.
do you think i will need the spindle nut kit? truck has 5 bolts holding on the auto hub cap. the truck i am doing it on is an 86 jimmy k10 305-465-208. and yes i am replacing the diffs to 1 tons just need it to get warmer. so thats why i welded up the 10 bolts. thanks for any info.

You are good to go, i did the same, my autos stayed locked even in 2hi so took the bastards off and got me some Warns in there, although it gave me a fight because of a shim that the 10 bolts had in there, wich i ended trashing the shim anyways

Yup , what you said .

Just take off the old junk , toss in the new junk , and you ONLY really need to use the new hubs and the outer clip that goes in the groove of the end of the hub rotor assembly .

Been running that way a long time with no troubles . And one clip is easier to deal with on a trail :D
