Bowfishing

Anybody here bowfish? Been doing it for a couple years off the bank with a retired hunting compound. Fixing to order a new recurve and looking for a small flat bottom for this year.

Just curious if anybody else here is into it and what kind of setup you're running.

I go once in a while for carp. Just use a 20 dollar special I got at a garage sale. Pretty fun though.

I just bought a boat about a month ago. Small flat bottom but it works. Using a trolling motor, some 150w hps lights and a small generator. I really hate the noise of a generator but the light is so much better than the flashlight taped to my bow

My friend that I go with is a certified diver and Im looking at taking the classes so I can dive with him. Looking into spear fishing

We are running LEDs on batteries, love the peace and quiet!!

How many lights do you run and on how many batteries? I plan on going to leds but my hps and generator were free.

currently running 6 Kawell 27 watts http://www.amazon.com/Kawell®-Flood...TF8&qid=1403221167&sr=8-2&keywords=kawell+led and 3 50 watts http://www.customfitzled.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51 . We run them on two OLD group 31s (mfg. date of 2009) set up for 24 volts, getting a solid 5+ hours out of them. Gonna buy some new deep cycle batteries eventually....
