Box Side Problem

I started on my ongoing battel with the huge amount of rust in the box sides on my 88' K5.I had to cut them all the way up to the body line.The onley problem that I have is that ive just got so much of the inner body exposed.
Option 1

Painting the inner body black so its not so noticeable.
Option 2

Extending the wheel well and welding it to the outter body skin (basicly alot more work than its worth)
Option 3

reskin the box sides(kinda pointless)
