Bracket for MAP sensor and ignition module

My 87 tbi 350 is now a 383 vortec motor. The bracket that the map sensor and ignition module bolted to no longer bolts to the engine. So I removed the bracket from the map sensor and ignition module and just have those laying on the engine.

I'd like to get those bolted to a bracket and then secured to the engine. But haven't been able to find such a thing for a vortec bolt pattern. Anyone know a source to get one?

I don't really have the tools to build such a thing. I dont even have a vise to bend a piece of metal. I hate things that look rigged.

Get creative. Then paint black. Look for random metal trim pieces (thinking a dishwasher kick plate in my truck from work), or go get some flat stock.

Drill, tap, insert into receiver hitch to bend as needed, cut with angle grinder.

That, or modify the one you have to work. Come on, this is an easy one...
 
Hard to avoid when you are installing custom stuff.

Yea I know I'm just used to the import scene (should be called U.S. made now) where someone makes exactly what you want for just about anything. The GM hot rodding scene (should be the import scene now lol) has been around much long. I'm just kinda surprised the stuff is so hard to find. I'm sure someone makes it they just dont make it easy to find.

I do find it amusing that GM plays on words to retain its American made heritage. Most US citizens don't consider Canadian's and Mexican's as American's. Yet they both come from North America!!! If you loook up the made by content it always lists North America lol.
 
We aren't talking hard core fab here. We are talking drilling a new hole in your existing bracket, or bending it to bolt somewhere it didn't originally.

Go have a cold one (or 5), take a look at the top of the motor, and modify it to best mount in its new location.
 
Go to the junk yard and grab the coil mount off a v-6 or v-8 vortec motor. Redrill drill the holes and then bolt it to the back intake bolts.

Thing is the ignition module comes from the front of the engine and the MAP sensor comes from the back they basically meet in the middle. So the wires aren't long enough to do that. They need to connect to the center of the block.

There's probably a reason they don't make it. Because nobody would buy it freguently. Every one would save a dime and make it.

I've made more brackets for my imports than I can shake a stick at. I've even made money because people don't want to do it.

There's nothing wrong with relocating it if possible. Maybe make two smaller brackets.
