So I'm running an Edelbrock 7116 intake manifolde and a holley 17-45 TBI adapter. This places the TBI higher up in the air then the stock intake.

The result is the throttle cable and the TV cable are to short to connect up with the TBI. Does anyone know of an adapter bracket that I can use to reposition the TV and throttle cable?

just cut some tube down and space the bracket up with longer bolts.. that's what ya get with TBI spacers..... oldschool alternator spacers would work, cut down to length.. ya want something that a 3/8 bolt fits thru, but with as thick a wall as you can find...

problem isn't just the height it also sits to far back now. I bought an edelbrock 8032 vortec bracket. It kinda fits but the problem is, If I adjust for the throtle cable then the detent cable is to short. If I adjust for the detent cable then there is to much slack in the throttle cable.

Do they make an adjustable detent cable? I know you can do some adjustment with the ratchet mechanism but that isn't enough. I think I need one that has extra cable sticking out with some kind of lock to lock the clip in place after its adjusted.

there is no adjustment to a tv cable, it is set... if it is not right, you WILL nuke the trans.... and no, no such thing as an adjustable one....

take a pic...

The problem with that is the bracket attaches under the intake bolts so if you used a spacer it would not only slightly raise the bracket but it would also push it towards the center of the engine as well making the cables not line up once again.

that's what comes with most TBI spacers.. mine did, and I ran it that way for years without issue... that's a very slight bolt angle, it barely moves it inboard at all...

There is an adjustable cable I found one.
