Any secret to cutting it so braid stays together. Tuff to get in fitting.

Wrap it with electrical tape, then cut through the tape with a cut off wheel. I also use a small flat screwdriver to shovel those evil pointy sharps into the fittings

Worm gear hose clamp works too--had to use one on some hydraulic hoses that needed cutting before..

Yes I rapped it with masking tape then cut with chop saw. It worked fought a little but got the end on. Just hoping for some magic recipe. Lol

I don't think I've ever had one roll of masking tape I ever used completely up,unless I used it immediately--it always ends up welding itself together into one solid mass so you cant un-roll a full revolution off the roll without tearing or going down past the first layer...

Speaking of tape--the white "red cross" medical cloth adhesive tape they sell for things like bandages and casts is waterproof and works great on leaky hoses and other things exposed to moisture,it wont unravel..doesn't go "bad" from sitting a long time either, unlike electrical or masking tape either..

All those are great ways to do it. I have a pair of industrial electrical "ratchet cutters" that make it look easy. It's cut more braided fuel line than it ever did electrical cable....HA!

Cut off wheel, cable cutters or a sharp chisel and whack with the BFH for a nice clean cut. Wrapping with electrical tape before hand helps with any of the methods.
